Indus Motor Corporation Toyota has finally released the news about the locally assembled Corolla Cross. The crossover will launch in Pakistan next year means 2023 is the year IMC Toyota will launch its first locally assembled Hybrid Electric Crossover. Toyota will share its parts of electric vehicle production in Pakistan by offering this crossover.
During the 6th Journalists Summit 2022 at Muzaffarabad Azad Kashmir, the CEO of IMC Toyota Ali Asghar Jamali has told to media “Toyota will introduce it’s first locally assembled Corolla Cross HEV SUV in 2023 and it’s a Pakistani made model. Further, he told that the company has already spent $100 million on HEV production in Pakistan.

Price Range of Locally Assembled Corolla Cross HEV
The CEO has said that the locally assembled HEV Corolla Cross will arrive with a price of Rs. 5 million to 7 million. Moreover, he said HEV production is a solution to control oil import in Pakistan by 5- percent. As per the current situation, we don’t have the infrastructure to produce fully electric vehicles. But we can produce HEVs in Pakistan.
IMC will launch Crolla Cross HEV with this low-price range to start the new competition in the market. It’s just the start of low price HEVs production in Pakistan. After IMC other automakers will also think to convert vehicles to HEV under the competitive price range.

Why do We Need HEVs or Fully Electric Cars?
Fully electric cars are needed in our country. This is the only way to control the import of oil in Pakistan. The rates of fuel become very expensive and the increasing strength of international currency $ falling our country down. We really need to promote the production of EVs or HEVs in Pakistan. Pakistan needs automakers serious concerns to start EVs production. IMC Toyota is one of the very popular car-making industries and they start HEVs production to step into the EVs segments. This would be a great start for our automobile industry.
