The new government the new price hike. But this time this massive price hike in petrol price maybe not be acceptable to the public. The Oil And Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has proposed to increase the petrol price by Rs 83.50/per liter. The previous government Prime Minister Imran Khan announced on February 28 that the petrol prices will remain the same till the budget of June 2022. However, the action took against the millions of dollars loss to the government. But they had tried to accommodate the public.

Petrol Price Hike
According to the OGRA proposal petrol price will jump by Rs 83.50/per liter, Rs 119/liter for diesel, Rs77.56/liter increase for Kerosene oil, and Rs 77.31/liter increase for Light Diesel Oil. The prices include 17% GST and Rs. 30 Petrol Levy. Meanwhile, the decision is not confirmed by the finance ministry.

Conclusion
There is no confirmation by the Finance Ministry regarding a new price hike for petroleum products. The current price of petrol is Rs. 149.86 and if the price increase by Rs. 83.50 the new price would be more than Rs 200 per liter. This is too much for us and not accepted.
