45 City Edtion VF8 SUVs delivered:
On the date March 1, after a series of delays and some changes in the promised range and pricing. The first 45 City Edition VF8 SUVs from the Vietnamese company VinFast were successfully delivered to its California sales locations. However, the company plans to bring 999 City Edition VF8 SUVs to California which is one U.S. state where these vehicles are currently being sold.
The City Edition Battery of VinFast is much different from that of the standard VF8 and has very less range. There are two options for the City Edition, with the VF8City Edition co enjoying a somewhat with an estimated range of 207 miles, and the more powerful VF8 City EDITION Plus with an ever lower EPA estimate of 179 miles single charge.
Import of these Vehicles to the U.S:
The vehicles were imported to the United States in December, but due to delays before the company was ready to start delivering them to customers. This process is now underway; the buyers will be able to receive their vehicles either from the VinFast California sales outlet or through the direct home delivery service.
There has been speculation that some of the reasons for the delay from the customer’s complaints that the electric crossover’s range did not live up to its early promises.
The sudden plan of VinFast to offer better leasing has been scrapped, at least for now. When the vehicle was first announced, VinFast told his reservation holders they could rent the battery pack in their car. The plan was to offer tiered mileage allowances in a similar way to yearly mileage restrictions on car leases.
Instead, the price of the battery has been now added to the cost of the vehicle. Now each City Edition comes at a $3000 discount, with the City Edition Eco starting at the price of $47,000 and the City Edition Plus starting at the price of $54,200.
