First Pakistan electric hatchback was unveiled on its 75th Birthday of Pakistan. And it’s a gift from the DICE Foundation. DICE Foundation is a U.S based non-profit organization. They have designed the car for Pakistan with the help of local manufacturers. This is the first electric car manufactured in Pakistan. A wonderful gift for Pakistan on 14 August 2022. This hatchback’s name is Nur-e (named after Noor) and the company name is JaXari it was by the 12th Century Scientist Ismael Al-Jazari. This hatchback is the start of the electric car. The aim is to convert Pakistan’s automotive industry into EVs and deliver the best to the country.

Nur-E Electric Hatchback
This hatchback never offers you a luxury ride. But it’s a start and we will see improved results in the future. the hatchback was launched in Karachi. The first display of this car wonders the citizens and double their happiness. This car offers 5 person seating capacity with 5 doors. With 35KwHr battery size, this car can make peak horsepower is 107 with 80 KW and the highest torque is 200Nm. The estimated range is 210Km which is perfect for the start. The estimated charging time with regular 200V is 7 to 8 hours. But you can fast charge the car with DC fast charger in just 2 hours. The is the air conditioner.
The exterior is very sleek and decent. This first car has not had much design on the body. But the inside is comfortable for 5 people. It looks like a small size car with enough capacity to drive at a low cost in the country. The prototype is a concept delivered by the DICE and gives a challenge to automakers.

Pakistan Automotive Industry
Pakistan’s automotive industry surviving in big crisis. The lack of CKD kits is a big obstacle in production and automakers face problems in the import of CKD kits. The new term is to approve LCs by the SBP to import CKD kits and other parts of manufacturing. The prices of cars are suddenly higher above than expectations. Car prices are very high in Pakistan. Small size cars reach Rs 15 to 20 lacs range. Used car prices are also high. Buying a car in Pakistan is no more an easy task.
